I'm researching more calculators that will be available in updates. Patrice, I no longer use a MAC but I found this for you: and this: Date: 2/20/10 7:59 AM Most embroidery software is written for MS Windows, but some alternatives are already available for Mac users. I've loaded this application with calculations I either regularly make or I never want to manually make again (Square Hypotenuse and Square & Triangle Calculators). I've shrunk quilt dimensions to save fabric and/or to provide a quilt for a twin bed instead of a king. I've also repeated a few calculations on every quilt, such as the number of fabric strips for each quilt's bindings. You can convert embroidery files, and parts of a design can be flipped or rotated. Along the way, I learned a few time saving techniques and relearned some geometry. StitchBuddy shows embroideries in icon view and with previews on your Mac. In the past 3 years, I've created over 50 quilts. If you're not using an exact pattern with exact measures, this application will be very useful. You might make your quilt use some aspects of other quilts. You might make your quilt smaller or larger. A lot of the time, you create a quilt based on another quilt or pattern you've seen. Sometimes, you use a pattern and every step is finely detailed. If you're like me, you like creating quilts. simultanously and you can use the Window menu to navigate through them. This app simplifies and speeds up the process of designing, building, and finishing a quilt. StitchBuddy is a hobby-oriented application to view and modify embroidery.
